Changing Your Condominium Lock

Details on changing the lock on your condominium unit.

If you are thinking about changing the lock on your condominium unit, please first inquire if your condominium building is on a master lock. You can find out this information from your Board of Trustees or Property Manager. If your building is on a master lock, you have two options:

  1. Use the locksmith that has been designated by the Association to hold the master key
  2. Check out the master key from your Property Manager to bring to the locksmith of your choosing.

If your building is not on a master lock, you may change out your lock at any time. However, please ensure that you notify your Property Manager of any changes.
